Ensemble Supper Club at San Ray
For most of us, the dining table is where we do our best talking and our best listening. It’s where stories are exchanged and, on a rainy Thursday night in Tāmaki Makaurau, we had the pleasure of pouring a vino tinto or two at the first Ensemble Supper Club—an intimate evening hosted by Ensemble Magazine sat around the private dining room table at San Ray, listening to stories by actor and writer Morgana OReilly of The White Lotus fame…

Elemental — a conversation between art, practice and place.
Serving wine at an art exhibition opening is somewhat fundamental. We're avid enthusiasts of art and are happy to share our wine for artists we admire. It's even better when our wine can participate as an installation in its own right and — as the Grava Tasting films enjoyed their debut at an art show — we felt very proud to support this art collective from Ōtepoti Dunedin.

Aotearoa to España, and back again.
We reckon wine is about sharing things. Sharing a bottle with a mate, sharing good food that makes you feel great and sharing a story or two. We share our Grava vineyards and winery with a number of other wine brands. We share our expertise and energy when making wine both here in Aotearoa and España, where Al has been making wine for twenty years. We’ve never thought to bring those wines back here to share. Until now.

Sight + Sound.
It sounds absurd but should we include sound in how our senses inform our experience of flavour? We think so. All the senses contribute and while we're at it, we'd like to suggest 'mood' plays a part too. We investigate how a total sensory exploration of wine can alter your enjoyment of it by inviting a film maker and musicians to tell the story of Grava wines.

Refreshing Grava.
Established in 2014. Refreshed in 2024 — the evolution of the outside of the Grava bottle. Working with expert designers and strategists has been key to crafting an authentic but bold new label design for our Martinborough based winery which includes importing the Spanish wines we also produce.
